Program Description 

In partnership with EMS Education Solutions, LLC we are proud to bring you the Cardiac Anatomy Review: Heart Dissection Lab, presented by PA-C Alan Heckman!

This class will review cardiac anatomy and physiology and how it relates in the clinical environment. In addition, students will participate in a heart dissection lab.

Cardiac emergencies are one of the most common patient encounters EMS providers face. Having a fundamental grasp on cardiac anatomy and physiology and the ability to relate

this knowledge to a patient is essential for EMS providers.

 

Topics Covered:

  •   External cardiac anatomy

  •   Coronary anatomy

  •   Electrophysiology

  •   Valves and their function

  •   Aortic anatomy

  • Heart Dissection Lab:

  • Each student will participate in a pig heart dis- section lab.
    There will be one heart available per student (no sharing).

    All dissecting supplies will be available.

    Cost: $35.00 per person max seating 20 students
