Program Description 


Course Description:  This one-day, eight-hour training will introduce students to the history and common trends of an active threat (active shooter). Students will be instructed on the 5 stages of an active threat as well as the identification of potential threats. Additionally students will learn the mission objectives of 1st responders, equipment considerations, and current tactics for engagement and follow up responses using the three tier response model. Finally, students will be exposed to force-on-force scenarios that reinforce the three tier response model.

Who Should Attend?
New officers that have not attended this training, or officers looking to update his/her Active Threat Response skills.

Duration: 1-day (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

Cost: $50.00 (Lunch included)

Equipment Needed: Eye protection, Hearing protection, Vest, Duty belt, Sidearm, Long gun, and Flashlight.  No ammunition will be needed for this course.
