Description: This is a 16-hour course that will cover various fire service topics. Students will receive  hands-on training as well as a more in-depth look at the duties allowed by junior firefights under the child labor laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 

Training Audience: Junior firefighters ages 14 to 18 years of age

Prerequisite(s): Proper working papers must be submitted brought to the first class.

Course Length: 16-hours

Certification: A Chester County certificate will be issued after successful completion of the course.

Textbook: None

Equipment Needs: Bring to all class sessions pen / pencil, note-taking material. Firefighting turnout gear which includes  fire helmet, boots, bunker coat, bunker pants, noxmex hood, firefighting gloves, and safety glasses).  For each class session, travel arrangements to and from the training campus. Bring personal water bottle, snacks and lunch.
