Course Description : This 4 hour class is for firefighters who are looking to learn more about the 2 ½ Gallon Water Extinguisher. This class will cover the basic maintenance, and use. Practical sessions will demonstrate the use of the Water Can;

During Search and Rescue

Holding the room

Quick Attack / Knockdown

Maximizing the 2 ½ gallons

Water additives for quicker knockdown

Refilling and recharging of the Can

Training Audience:

Prerequisite (s):Age 18 or older, ELIF (Interior Firefighter) NFPA Firefighter 1.

P.P.E.: Full turnout gear including SCBA with spare cylinder, long pants, socks, long sleeve shirt that is cotton or 50-50. No mesh or wicking material.
