Description: This course will provide the student with a review and application of the techniques used in safe firefighting practices in an actual fire environment. Emphasis is placed on safety for both interior and exterior operations. The goal of this course is to enable the student to safely attack and extinguish an interior fire in a structure as a member of a single line hose team. At the end of the course the student should be able to proficiently demonstrate:
Training Audience: Fire personnel Prerequisite(s): Completion of ELIF, EBM, or Fire I Course Length: 16-hours Certification: Pa State Fire Academy Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of this course. Requirements: Full turnout gear including SCBA with spare cylinder, long pants, socks, long sleeve shirt that is cotton or 50-50. No mesh or wicking material.
