Course Description: This course will provide officers with in-depth insights into the Fourth Amendment and relevant case law. The content will help with decision making and limit the opportunity for lost evidence, lost cases, and civil liability for the officer and their agency. This course will give officers the confidence to make informed decisions during the many types of incidents law enforcement encounter daily.

The course will consist of classroom lecture, case study and discussion. The course will have a built-in element of customizable topics specific to the application search and seizure. The content will not be a long list of cases as most search and seizure courses and currently constructed. Instead, this will be concept based and applicable to officers coming from the variety of departments within Pennsylvania.

This training has been approved for MPOETC continuing law enforcement education.
