Description: This 4-hour class is for firefighters who are looking to learn more about the 2 ½ Gallon Water Extinguisher. This class will cover the basic maintenance, and use. Practical sessions will demonstrate the use of the Water Can; during search and rescue, holding the room, quick attack / knockdown, maximizing the 2 ½ gallons, water additives for quicker knockdown, and refilling and recharging of the can.

Training Audience: Firefighters wishing to learn more or refresh their knowledge about the 2 ½ gallon water extinguisher.

Prerequisite(s): Age 18 or older, (One of the following), NFPA 1001 Firefighter 1 Certification, PA State Fire Academy Interior Firefighter with Live Fire certificate, or completion of the PA State Fire Academy Structural Burn Session Certificate.

P.P.E.: Full turnout gear including SCBA with spare cylinder, long pants, socks, long sleeve shirt that is cotton or 50-50. No mesh or wicking material.
