Description: The Strategy and Tactics for Initial Company Operations (STICO) curriculum is designed to meet the needs of Company Officers responsible for managing operations. STICO develops the management skills required by Company Officers to accomplish assigned tactics at structure fires.

      • Analytical size-up process

  • Fire confinement, exposure protection, and fire extinguishment
  • Rescue, ventilation, and support
  • Water supply, fixed fire protection, and salvage

Training Audience: This course is available to all emergency and crisis response personnel.

Prerequisite(s): None

Course Length: 16-hours

Certification: National Fire Academy certification will be applied for at the conclusion of the class.

Textbook: Manual will be supplied

Equipment Needs: Pen / pencil, note-taking material.
