Course Description: This course is designed to provide Law Enforcement officers with Mobile Field Force formations and movements. The class will also address recommended equipment and discussion involving protester devices and tactics. Students will be required to participate in hands-on practical exercises and should evaluate their personal level of fitness.

Instructional Hours: 1 Day

Instructional Objectives: To provide training in the movements of Mobile Field Force formations to members of Law Enforcement. This training will also provide hands on familiarization to members in working with Tactical Mounted Unit (TMU) and Rescue Extrication Team (RET) tactics in civil disorder incidents.

After completion, the student will be able to:

  • Identify Mobile Field Force formations.
  • Determine proper deployment techniques.
  • Demonstrate the ability to don and doff an APR (Gas mask).
  • Demonstrate tactics associated with TMU operations.

Equipment Needed: Limited equipment is available if you do not have department issued equipment:

  • Riot Helmet with face shield and nape protector.
  • Soft chin strap.
  • Black leather gloves.
  • Riot Baton with leather strap.
  • Riot baton belt ring.
  • Gas mask with carrier.
  • Black BDUs with summer uniform shirt (PSP)--Uniform/utility uniform (Municipal).
  • Black issued boots.

This training is for Chester County Agencies only.
