Course Description : This intense two-day, 16-hour course is designed for veterans and newcomers alike. It focuses on the relationship between 21st Century traffic enforcement and criminal enforcement. Specific techniques are covered to assist officers in detecting criminal activity during traffic stops. Students will receive specific instruction in roadside interviews and the detection of hidden compartments in motor vehicles. The class modules include:
Sheriff Mike Lewis, Wicomico County, Maryland Internationally known, Sheriff Mike Lewis, currently serving his fourth term as Wicomico County Sheriff, is a retired Sergeant and a twenty-two year veteran of the Maryland State police who pioneered the Drug Interdiction program along Maryland's notorious U.S. Route 13 corridor. Sheriff Lewis has been judicially recognized by the federal & state courts of this country as an EXPERT in the areas Traffic Stops, Highway Interdiction, Hidden Compartments & Drug Valuation Officer Safety Course Length: 16 hours Equipment Needs: Note-taking material.
