Course Description: There are two types of engagements with a handgun, proactive & reactive. This course will concentrate on proactive reactions. The officer will be in a mindset that lethal force has been presented to them and they must react quickly but with a higher degree of accuracy. These encounters are very often at various ranges. Longer ranges requiring traditional sighted fire or closer distances that require a much more precise shot placement. Proactive shooting is shooting with the mechanical sights on the weapon or an optic. In the real world both proactive and reactive shooting are essential for the professional.

Training Audience: Law Enforcement Officer

Prerequisite (s): None

Equipment Needs: Hearing & Eye Protection, Duty Rig, Sidearm, 350 rounds of ammo & body armor.
