Description: There are two types of engagements with a handgun, proactive & reactive. This course will concentrate on reactive engagements. The officer will be in a mindset that lethal force has been presented to them and they must react quickly. These encounters are very often at close range and with surprise. Traditional sighted fire may not be available or appropriate. Reactive shooting is not shooting without using a sighting system. It is using the body’s natural bio-mechanics to place accurate fire on the adversary.

Course Length: 8 hours

Equipment Needs: Hearing & Eye Protection, Duty Rig, Sidearm, 350 rounds of ammo & body armor. Class size is limited to 16 students
