Course Description: The challenges of not only recruiting but also retaining today’s public safety employee workforce are greater today than ever before! The development of a department or agency’s current and future recruiting and retention strategies is paramount to every organization’s future viability and success. We as public safety officials have to be willing to avail ourselves to new "state of the art" and best practices methods for locating, recruiting and ultimately keeping new team members if we ever hope to be successful in meeting this latest critical challenge to our organization’s success. Each course participant will have the opportunity to learn the latest strategies on how to locate new talent and on how to best retain them for the future. The class will work through a number of real-world cases and scenarios where various public safety organizations have actually applied new methods of addressing these very serious and growing challenges.
