Description: UPDATED COURSE This 8-hour course provides the firefighter with the basic knowledge of strategy and tactics and how to apply the evidence-based fire research conducted by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and other fire service organizations to fire ground operations. This course introduces new terminology related to fire dynamics, ventilation, flow paths, door control, transitional fire attack, basement fires, and new concepts for developing strategy and tactics.   　

Training Audience: Current officers and firefighters.

Prerequisite (s): Fire Dynamics (FDF) and Age 18.

P.P.E.: Full turnout gear including SCBA with spare cylinder, long pants, socks, long sleeve shirt that is cotton or 50-50. No mesh or wicking material.
