Course Description: This course is designed to train officers on various manipulations involved in professional use of a firearm prior to and after actual firing. Subjects include reloading, carry positions, movement, retention, and all fundamentals needed for use of a firearm in the real world. Having these necessary skills committed to a programmed response allows officer to have external focus (the threat) as opposed to internal focus (their actions). This also builds confidence in the officers’ tools and can assist in limiting unintentional / negligent acts. Simunition equipment will be provided in class.

Training Audience: Law Enforcement Officer

Prerequisite (s): None

Equipment Needs: Note-taking material, and duty gear; including vest and eye protection
