Description: A 50-question exam consisting of randomly generated questions related to learning objectives found in the Hazardous Materials Awareness curriculum. Also included in the examination are questions designed to measure competence in using the Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Application Requirements: Completed applications must be received　at the test site (CCPSTC three　weeks　(21 days) prior to the written test date.　Applications received after this deadline, or incomplete applications will NOT be accepted for testing.

Prerequisite(s): 14 years old or older, FEMA SID number (click here to obtain a FEMA SID number), and successful completion of an approved Hazardous Materials Awareness Level course, Hazardous Materials Awareness Refresher course, or a higher Hazardous Materials level course within one (1) year of the certification application.
