Basic Life Support CPR/AED and First Aid Description: This 8-hour course will enable public safety professionals to recognize and respond with confidence to sudden and potentially life-threatening medical emergencies, injuries, and illness and the ability to provide medical care until advanced medical help arrives. The course covers recognizing life-threatening situations, delivering high-quality CPR and ventilations, the use of an AED, clearing obstructed airways, working effectively in single and multiple-responder scenarios, treating wounds, and managing conditions like choking, burns, and strokes. At the successful completion of the course students will receive a certification valid for two years, meeting professional and regulatory requirements.
