Description: Join us for our Hurricane Awareness course and increase your understanding of the latest knowledge in hurricane science, forecasting, warning, and preparedness. Enhances your ability to identify and describe the hazards associated with hurricanes and to better prepare for and mitigate the impacts of high winds, heavy rain, and storm surge.

Training Audience: Citizen/Community Volunteer, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Law Enforcement, Hazardous Material, Health Care, Public Safety Communications, Public Works.

Prerequisite(s): None

Course Length: 4-hours

Certification: Federal Emergency Management Agency certification will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
