Description: The training begins with a 4-hour block of classroom covering a multiple topics including case law, use of force and pursuits. A heavy focus is on distracted driving and how it affects your perception and reaction. The rest of the training will have you on a precision cone course where you will strengthen your abilities and learn your limitations. You will be required to drive independently, drive with other vehicles in a close driving drill, drive in low-light conditions, and respond to shoot / don’t shoot calls in the tactical village. Training Audience: Any Law Enforcement Officer Course Length: 12 hours Equipment Needs: Pen / Pencil, note-taking material. Students are required to bring a vehicle, duty gear, vest and eye protection. Simunition weapons and ammunition will be provided. Lunch will be provided.Municipal Police Officer's Education & Training Commission (MPOETC): 12 credit hours |
