Description: As a result of this training, the attendee will gain a comprehensive view of sex crimes, death scenes, common injuries of violence, suicide, and crime scene considerations dealing with the 4th Amendment. Perspectives from actual cases will give insight to the motives of sexual perpetrators including the area of the (sexually) violent juvenile. Investigative strategies will be offered for examining and understanding deviant sexual behavior.

Aspects of trauma and injuries will be highlighted for officer understanding of the potential evidence from the crime scene. Also reviewed are firearm injuries, blunt force trauma, sharp force, and cutting wounds, along with time of death estimations (rigor, algor & livor mortis).
